Among these items are three magical bookmarks that act as portals to another world called Mariupol. After doing some investigating in the local town square, you discover that the previous inhabitants have all gone, leaving behind some items that are worth having for later use. You're immediately in need of food and water as you have no idea of where you're at or how you got there. In Mari0, you play as Diego, a young Spanish backpacker who wakes up in an abandoned house one morning. For this reason, it's recommended that players progress through the game using only the "trial" version, which offers the first few levels and is a good way of getting a feel for the game. However, as the game progresses you'll find yourself wanting to take on bigger challenges such as fighting bosses and taking on bigger maps. Unlike other 2D sidescrollers, Mari0 has more of an adventure theme, focusing on exploration and puzzle solving rather than fighting or completing tasks.
It mixes gameplay elements from Super Mario world and Valve's Portal series of games. I don't think this has been implemented yet, (I couldn't get it to work on my game) but it looks promising.Mari0 is an upcoming side- scrolling platform game developed by German independent developer Maurice Guergens and published on his site Stabyourself. Download it now before Nintendo or Valve squashes it! Mari0 is a fun distraction, and the price is right. What is it with gamers and digital hats? The online co-op is still a work in progress, so you'll have to bust out your gamepads and play locally, for the time being. You may also choose from a wide variety of hats.
Did I mention that you can change the color of your character's clothing and portals to your liking? Well, you can. The following video shows six customizable Marios in action. Not only does the game support four player co-op, six player online co-op is on the way. The portals worked well and it's saturated with nostalgia. I have to say, it's a pretty good time, especially for a free download. I downloaded the game here and took it for a spin.
